Working on making a great WB Skin...

I would like to see in FENCES an option when you double click on desktop it hides the desktop and brings new HIDEN menus like creating 2 kinds of fences one HIDEN AT DESKTOP VIEW and the other NORMAL FENCE, That way would be cool for gamers you could use your normal desktop and when u 2click you hide the desktop and show an entire full screen of icons with games on them and it would also be cool a way to ARRANGE icons diferently from the desktop ones and maybe some themes for FENCES...

That would be way cool for developers too. I work from home, I use this desktop for personal use, office use, and for my side business. Some clickable options to switch to different sets (home, work, side-work) would be way cool.

I would like to extend this request a bit. Make it a virtual fencetop?

A fencetop would just be a fence layout. The context menu for icons should contain an added choice od "Always hide on this fencetop", and the regular desktop menu should have an option to "show all hidden icons".

Then add "Add fencetop" and "Remove this fencetop" options, and a menu to switch on the desktop context menu. And as a shortcut, hold down right mousebutton and scroll the wheel to switch to next/previous fencetop.

(Incidentally, I would like the "Always hide this icon" feature, even if fencetops never are implemented... Sometimes I don't want to delete icons from my desktop, but still have them readily available by switching a "show hidden" flag.)

Another nice feature request would be to access icons on individual FENCES on a single click like a web page that way you could make menus that are hiden only when you need them u can just 2 click the desktop and fire up Photoshop menu or even single click the shortcut on a project you have been working on... For games you could just make a menu that takes up the entire screen when u 2 click on the desktop all other icons would just hide and only the games icons could show on the entire screen and maybe if it would be possible to make themes for the Fences insted of a black outlined transparent thingy maybe work on a nice looking theme for the Fence's background oh well just ideas for a great program...

Zubaz

Click Start > Control Panel > (set to "Classic View) > click system under General tab > select the "Single-click to open an item (point to select) radio box and click OK.

Yes, but the problem there is that it would be nice for "only" Fence items could be access by single click webpage style. The Classic View would set all icons including the ones on desktop and normal folders single click too, and was not what i meant it to be only Fence items single clickable. But thanks alot for the idea Zubaz
